About
We know intuitively that how we feel changes how we behave, but we don't have a clear sense of the mechanism underlying this process. My work examines how affect shapes the ways we perceive and respond to uncertainty. I am particularly interested in contexts in which people may be especially sensitive to uncertainty, including in depression, anxiety, and stress. I use computational modeling, smartphone data, and longitudinal approaches to better understand how these processes differ across individuals, and how they change over time.
